Kurtis' first love, photography, served as a gateway into the refreshing discovery of dance music. Making a leap from the world of film to blogging introduced him to the rich subculture associated with nightlife. In late 2014, Kurtis launched a publishing extension of the Toronto Rave Community, North Americas largest Facebook group and online congregation of electronic music lovers. Alongside fellow owners and a domain hosted by New York City's Daily-Beat, TorontoRaveCommunity.com became Canada’s highest trafficked "EDM" culture website in less than one month.
