CDJ Show 2013 Guest - DJ J-Tec

It was a cold autumn night, when Toronto gave birth to its newest wax warrior (Jeff Samarita by day, J-Tec by night). Although not classically trained in music, the turntables provided an outlet for creative expression. In the summer of 1993, J-Tec and high school classmates' Tantrum, ill Buddah and World DMC Champion Dopey, formed the deadly DJ clan Turntable Monkz. After four years of intense training in the various disciplines of violating vinyl, the Turntable Monkz unleashed their cut capabilities on the competition circuit and secured numerous accolades. Outside of the battle scene, J-Tec gained further recognition in 2003 with several radio shows on Turntablism.com (based in Australia), The Needillworks? Show on Illnoiz.com and Nocturnal Emissions on Project Bounce. After conquering the digital realm, J-Tec stepped back onto the stage, DJing for Detroit rappers Frank N Dank, award winning jazz trumpeter Brownman, and Dead Celebrity Status (formerly known as Project Wyze). J-Tec continues his evolution as a multi-faceted DJ at Our House Nightclub in Toronto, part of "Supreme Clientele Saturdays" (every last Saturday of the month), playing hiphop, R & B and reggae.
